Can anyone else see the scenario? Hillary v. Allen v. Tancredo? 1992 redux? I'd vote for Tancredo in a heartbeat.

I am against illegal immigration; however, people like Tancredo are so shrill that they come across as anti-immigration period. This isolationist stance is abhorrent to me and I'm sure is very repellent to any hispanic (legal ones) thinking about voting Republican.
I am all for a wall, but also for more immigrants from the "right" countries (limit Muslims whenever possible).

Again, it will make her very happy. Apparently you don't recognize what a Hillary presidency would do or you just don't care. You aren't Sid Blumenthal, are you?

Even today he's one of the few Congress critters against illegal immigration. The rest are in favor of it or are BS artists playing both sides against the middle

Let me guess. You voted for Perot? We really showed the Republicans in 1992. And what did we get? Bill Clinton. The damage he did to our security is incalculable. Thanks to The Rapist, the ChiComs really do have the ability to incinerate all of our cities. Hillary is the most dangerous woman in America. I would sometimes agree that it is important to make a statement to get the GOP's attention. When Hillary is involved, however, the stakes are just too high.

Tom is rocking the boat. No nuance or diplomatic language, just straight forward truth.

Let's see; Sucking up to the 12 million illegal immigrants living here, the Dubai Ports Control Debacle, Tom Delay, Jack Abrahamoff, Randy "Duke" Cunningham (R) CA, Government Spending in the gazillions of dollars......
What else can the Pubbies do to commit political suicide in the mid-term elections of '06 and to give the White House to the Dems in '08? Hey, I know; snuff out any decent guys like Tom Tancredo and any populist movement that tries to come up, out of the GOP ranks, for a breath of air.

Apparently you don't recognize what a Hillary presidency would do or you just don't care. I'm not afraid of the Hillary boogie-man. I lived through 8 years of Clinton and we had balanced budgets and actually managed to roll back the socialist welfare state. That is considerably better than we have gotten from Pubbies. I despise Hillary and suffer the wretch reflex every time I see her. But anymore, I feel much the same way when I see Bush spewing his lies about shamnesty.
From my perspective, your problem is that you ARE scared of her and I don't think Republicans can win without my part of the Republican coalition. Think about that. You might want to think about how to bring me/us back into the fold. I'll give you a hint. Name calling and insults like have been flying around FR lately are probably not going to work.

Just like when the establishment backed first Ford, then Bush I, over Reagan, I'm not surprised they want to shut out an "outsider" like Tancredo. It's their standard practice. But I won't be supporting a nominee just because Ken Mehlman, Ed Gillespie, Karl Rove, William Bennett, or other mouthpieces tell me to. I plan to vote for an immigration control conservative. If the Republicans refuse to nominate one, I'll go Constitution PartyAdd this family to the list.

Yet more evidence of the country-club, compassionate Republicans purging conservatives from their ranks. I'm sure I'll be called a DU troll or a "wing nut daily" type for suggesting this.
Not by me, you won't. I'm getting flamed in the Ohio thread (in fairness, not by all) for saying the same thing has esentially been going on here for many years-which is precisely why the republican party is in trouble here-unless Blackwell gets the nod-which many of the Cleveland & Columbus country-clubbers are doing their best to prevent.

Guess what! I don't care. I am not getting what I need from the Republican Party so I have quit caring what happens to it. I have come to the conclusion that the only way I will get what I want is to deprive people who do care about the Republicans of what they want. I really feel I have little to lose if the Republicans lose. On immigration Hillary and Bush are singing from the same songbook. But apparently you do care. Maybe if you make me happy on one little issue you won't have to suffer 4 or 8 years of the kind of frustration I have felt for 20 years. Think about it. The way it stands now I lose nothing and you lose everything. I like your style.

Hillary is hoping that is how you would respond. She is counting on it.

Seems like I har this every election......The most important in history for the nation ...blah blah...and guess what..we get basically the same crapola government. The conservatives tell the blacks of what they have not received from dems. What does the whole corrupt "Two-Party Cartel" do for the normal Joe?

YEAH!! Tell it like it is, Brotha!! I almost stood up & clapped on that one. ;D And, you're 100% correct-the hatred/insults/sarcasm over the last few months (REGARDLESS of the subject) have made me wonder just why I ever bothered to sign up in the first place. I thought it was a place for conservatives, not mind-numbed robots.
