Oh FATHER, May the People of India be washed away in Your Amazing Love & Sweet Grace....May they respond to Your HOLY SPIRIT working towards their Salvation...

...and may they all be Blessed with the Courage & Will to forcibly oppose the evil terrorists who performed such wickedness.

Varanasi blasts: Newly-wed couple starts anew

Press Trust of India
Posted online: Friday, March 10, 2006 at 1809 hours IST

Varanasi, March 10: Even as a shell-shocked nation recovers from the trauma of the temple blasts, a newly-wed couple is busy counting its blessings and wondering how fate let them escape with only minor injuries.

Barely 10 feet from the site of the explosion at the Sankat Mochan Temple, the marriage ceremony of Manju Devi from Nepal and Surendra Kumar of Siwan district was driven asunder by the blast-killing three of their relatives and a videographer on the spot and injuring several wedding guests.

Currently recuperating at a hospital, Kumar and his wife say that the presence of a tree protected them from the brunt of the blast leaving some 40 members of the wedding party with splinter injuries. Still attired in bridal garb and with marks of mehndi on her forehead, Manju ascribes the providential escape to god’s mercy.

Kumar, who owns a textile business in Mumbai, is angry with the district administration for seizing their wedding video for investigation and said this was an invasion of their privacy.

He also alleged that some television channels were airing footage from the video and said he was talking to the district magistrate and other officials to stop its broadcast on TV channels. He lauded the role of RSS volunteers in saving people after the blast.

I think these terrorist bombings could be significantly and rapidly reduced if we went assassination teams to kill every member of the terrorist's family. Then family members might start reporting their relatives to the authorities when they find out young Mudeeb is learning how to detonate bombs.

Yes, I do realize that means innocent members, including children, of the bombers would be killed. But I think it would save more lives overall than it would take, and it would be an effective method of reducing--maybe even ending--the bombings.

...if we went assassination teams...

Oops, that should have read "if we sent assassination teams".

I've always held the same view.

The terrorists are using our weakness against doling out disproportionate retaliation.

I've always thought that taking down 10 close relatives of a terrorist for every single violent act of his/hers would end terror much faster than the slow bleeding we are undergoing now.

At the very least, it will descourage new terrorists.

You're not going to get far with that one. I came up with that idea a long time ago, but nobody on FR liked it...

You are correct. This innocent baby has done nothing. We pray for his full recovery and let the ones responsible for his current condition burn in hell.

This is a sad story indeed.
And I'm glad we here in the States are praying for this little one.
But the parents aren't praying to God, they're praying to their false god which is sad.

i understand ur concern and thanks for ur prayers.

but what the hell is the difference between you and a muslim, who thinks allah is the only god and there is not other god or religion and fights this inhumane, bloody war called jihad? arent you displaying the same phislosphy when u say those people are praying to false god? why cant u realize that their beliefs and religion are different from yours? although i am hindu, i sure that there is nothing in christianity that says all other religions and gods are farce! please dont make this broad, peaceful, accomodating religion look like a narrow, intolerant one like Islam!

god damn! when will people realize to live and let live! and stop this farce of "my god is true god and mine is true religion!"! BS!

there is no true god, no true religion! i am not a athiest but i believe all gods are just different representations of the same higher form! its like 5 people got to learn abt god and they all went different directions and established different religions giving their own interpretations. Islam, one of which decayed over the years and has become a headache for all other non-followers today!

"It must be what destiny wished this on us," moans Mohit's sobbing mother Seema Devi.

Not destiny, some Islamist nut job, doing what they do best.

Actually you're quite wrong.
The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Christ. Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

So like it or not, that's what we believe.
The difference between us and Islam is that nowhere in the Bible does it say to kill those who refuse to believe in Christ.

So take your ignorant new age philosophy and flush it down the toilet. Nothing wrong with saying "I know the truth, and this is the only truth". Something very wrong with saying: "I know the truth and if you don't know the same truth I'll blow you to pieces.

Well, if they are Hindus, they don't pray to a single god anyway, although each has his "favorite". The wording makes me think they might be Christians, (there aren't many Jews at all in India)

I prefer to think that they, Hindus, merely see God differently, or see different aspects of Him.

So you pray to God as you perceive Him, and let them pray to Him in their own manner.

That "the hell" is the difference. We don't put bombs in non-christian people's busses, rail stations and temples.
Isn't that enough of a difference?

Stop trying to tell us we're not allowed to believe we know the only way and be glad we don't behave like those islamofascists.

Very sad; I can't imagine how it must be to see your baby like that. My (Catholic) prayers for him and his family.

Please don't get upset. I think this poster would probably believe that anybody who doesn't go to her local church is going to hell. There are a lot of little splinter-group Protestant churches here in the US where people have a very narrow understanding of religion. Fortunately, they're not typical or representative.

If it makes you feel any better, occasionally they get on the religion threads and tell Catholics they're going to hell.

Very sad to read your reply.
The Lord Jesus cares for you, and so do I.

Be well.
