Here in Tx, we've got Perry, who is not exactly what I'd call 'reliable'. He reminds me of a movie actor playing the part of governor, for some reason.

In the first place, the parallel doesn't hold, because there was no danger involved. In the second place, the U.S. Military is in charge of security, so it doesn't matter how I 'feel.'

I don't believe important decisions should be based on feelings, no matter how hard someone on the internet tries to persuade me that I should.

If I found no evidence, I would then realize I was just being paranoid.

I'm not ragging on the Pentagon. I'm sorry if I wasn't more clear in explaining my point. Just because everyone say's the UAE is safe, there hasn't been any attacks, that doesn't mean it will be safe tomorrow or a week from tomorrow. A terrorist can strike at any given moment. Should one of our ships be attacked there like the one in Yemen was, would you still think the UAE was a safe harbor to dock American ships?
