Let's see. The theory of evolution was introduced in the 1870's. Premarital sex rates started going up in the 1970's. Oh yeah, I definitely see a link there! What's a hundred year lag time? /sarcasm. The increase in the rate of premarital sex has nothing to do with evolution, or religion for that matter. It can be tied directly to the availability of the birth control pill. Those little pills are what opened Pandora's Box (if you'll pardon the pun).

My parents (and grandparents) used to tell me that there was no more pre/extra-marital sex going on in the 1960s to 1990s than in their day; however, they said that people did talk about it much more.
