QUETTA, Pakistan -- A crowded bus carrying a wedding party hit an anti-tank mine in a volatile region of southwestern Pakistan on Friday, killing at least 26 people, a senior government official said.

Where within several hundred kilometers of SW Pakistan is not considered a "volatile region"?
If I were a local there looking to get hitched, I'd be eloping. Something about weddings and explosions over yonder is pretty peculiar.
SW Pakistan, the wild wild west with Man-jammies and Ak47s instead of Peacemakers and stetsons.
