From your infected hog link: Yikes!

The agency has notified agriculture officials in Ohio, as well as in three other states because Reedy sold one hog in Pennsylvania, six in Kentucky and 14 in Virginia.
State food safety personnel discovered signs of tuberculosis on Tuesday in hogs being processed at custom meat plants. This prompted Douglass to activate the agency's Food and Livestock Safety Team. The team tracked down all but about five to eight of the 200 or so suspect animals, Davidson said.
People who believe they have obtained these animals are advised to contact Douglass' office as soon as possible, and to not eat the meat.

In a whole new light, bringing home the bacon may NOT be a good thing. Fearing those 5 to 8 unfound hogs may very well be in the food chain. Question is, where did the meat go once it was slaughtered? Thus far we have Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Virginia involved, but oftentimes processed meat is shipped interstate.
