Since there is a process in place to assure any deals are not in our best interest, why shouldn't the American people have a say? We are not ruled by those we elect, they are there to represent us, not represent their own interests.

Like most of these situations, emotional people, with incomplete or incorrect information opened fire without consideration for all the ramifications of their assault. Do you really think that the general population can or should be controlling day to day functions of our government when that general population can hardly locate our own country on a map? If we get a Hillary presidency, or worse, a McCain we can thank the cannibals within our ranks for handing the country over to the enemy. I treated the Perotistas with the same derision and will have no patience with BS claims that "they(Bush) forced us" into selling out our long term interest for the "high" of making the politicians pander to our emotionalism.
