So we should let emotions control everything. Did you read the story...she DID NOTHING to try to rectify the situation. They would have worked with her if she made ANY effort. But she didn't. The sorry truth is that this is probably the best thing that could have happened to her. Now her ex knows of her plight, the community knows of her plight and I suspect people will help. So she stayed one night in jail. Big whoop.

And, by the way, what the hell is wrong with "RICH PEOPLE" worrying about their property values. Tell me, I'm extremely curious as to your answer.

Well, let's see if Jesus said anything about this...looking...oh, yes here it is:

BillyBob 13:6-8

6. And Jesus spake unto them, saying, "Look not upon thy neighbor's house if it is in need of repair, nor seek to offer help."
7. "Seek, instead, the King, and tell him of your property values."
8. "And the King shall relieve you and he shall eject the neighbor and he shall demolish her home."

There was that little part about where she hired a contractor who took her money and left behind a big mess, but maybe you missed that detail.

If you are going to use that as a reason to kick someone out of your "special" neighborhood, what if a black family moves in?

Its not right, but there are some (not saying you are one) that fear that would also drive their property value down.

It no different than limiting homes to "only owner occupants", that way you can keep out the rif-raff that can only afford to rent.

Sorry, unless you own the home, its none of your business.
