I think at some level the anointed are sick, and have no idea that they are seen by those with a working moral compass as useful idiots at best. It's the same with Clinton, who really thinks that he is the man from Hope, though he was born in Hot Springs. To whom does he offer hope? Congenital idiots? I saw Mary Mapes a few months ago on television, and she still thinks that the made up "documents" are essentially sacrosanct at some metaphysical level. It's really astonishing.

You're right. Mary Mapes is truly a piece of work. Funny, her and Rather don't seem to pal around together, do they? Did she get another job or is she still out promoting her book, or off on another imaginary friend's dog ate the smoking gun memo about Carl Rove's love child with Tony Blair - tangent?
