In keeping with this hypocrisy, I propose the following:

Albert Anastasia's Rules for Personal Grooming
Paris Hilton's Rules for Chastity
Muhammed Ali's Rules for Humility
Bill Clinton's Rules for a Happy Marriage
Vincente Fox's Rules for Amiable International Relations
Osama bin Laden's Rules for Conflict Resolution

If I'd owned stock in CBS I might have a thought or two as to the consequences on my portfolio of this @ssclown's journalistic malpractice...... From the FWIW department. Howard Stern has had a much larger impact on CBS's parent company, VIACOM's stock price, than Dan has ever dreamed of having.

I think at some level the anointed are sick, and have no idea that they are seen by those with a working moral compass as useful idiots at best. It's the same with Clinton, who really thinks that he is the man from Hope, though he was born in Hot Springs. To whom does he offer hope? Congenital idiots? I saw Mary Mapes a few months ago on television, and she still thinks that the made up "documents" are essentially sacrosanct at some metaphysical level. It's really astonishing.

Ive said pretty much all I have to say about this subject, he said in response to a question. The public wants to move on. Not me.

You're right. Mary Mapes is truly a piece of work. Funny, her and Rather don't seem to pal around together, do they? Did she get another job or is she still out promoting her book, or off on another imaginary friend's dog ate the smoking gun memo about Carl Rove's love child with Tony Blair - tangent?

The newsman proposed "Rather's rules," saying reporters should "ask more questions, especially the tough ones."...
Rather, who has said his departure from the anchor desk was unrelated to the National Guard story, did not mention the report in his speech. "I've said pretty much all I have to say about this subject," he said in response to a question. "The public wants to move on." Do "Rather's Rules" explain what a reporter should do when the response to "ask[ing] more questions, especially the tough ones" is a canned evasion like "I've said pretty much all I have to say about this subject... The public wants to move on."?

He is a lying POS. He should have been hung out to dry for conspiring to illegally influence a presidential election.

Kenneth's Corollary to Rather's Rules: "But only if the subject is a conservative, otherwise throw 'em cream puffs." Indeed. And make sure that you know the frequency.

Rather Rules
Rather than check out strange fax, determine what's best for the Democrat in the race, then act.
Rather than an accept an expert's advice, determine what's best for the Democrat in the race, then act.
Rather than be professional, walk off the set if a tennis match should go longer than expected.
Rather than expose and confront dictators, kiss their butts.
What's the Frequency, Kenneth?
Courage.
