Okay, I read this article, and would agree that the U.A.E isn't a bunch of saints, but then what arab country is?? Would you have us give the back of our hand to our best ally in the region? By these standards we should not have aided the french resistance in WWII because of their dealings with the Nazi's, or allied with the British because of their early 1800's attacks on Washington DC and the White house.
I note that no where is you reply, or in the article referenced was the question of "then what?" addressed.
Why is that? And doesn't it strike you as strange that the entire opposition to this deal was started by Chickie Shumer, and Little Dickey Durbin(child senator)simultaneously pushing the fear button and playing the race card? Have these two in the last 3 years done anything to aid in the war on terror, or help to bring stability to Iraq??
Call me paranoid, but I can think of no greater harm to our war effort than to alienate the entire Arab world against our efforts by telling them to go pack sand, because no matter how much you come to our aid, we are still too fearful and frightened for our precious skins to ever trust those dirty, stinking, sneaky little Arab Muslim (They ARE ALL out to kill us, you know) And what is even a bigger shame is so many fell for it.

Thats right after 9-11 we should be on full alert. That is why this deal will be going south, and those of us that want our Ports controlled by America interests only are glad of it.
As for Muslims and arabs, I do not have the time to sort out the good guy from the bad, much like we did not in country in 1969.
We are at war, if you have not noticed.
