Businesses in free countries don't operate by making threats to withdraw support for the U.S. war on terror and to evicting the U.S. navy from their ports.
Of course we know that's how muslim businesses operate, but we aren't a muslim nation.

You need to get the bigger picture, namely Finlandization.
Finland, despite it's being democratic, groveled before the Soviet Union, giving them evrything they wanted, because the Finns were a tiny country of 4 million on a vulnerable border with the Soviet Union. Dubai (much smaller than Finland) is sandwiched between Saudi and Iran. They have reached out to us at great risk, and now we appear to be determined to humiliate them by telling them they are not "normal" people. Not smart.
How many of you "so called" conservatives who are jumping on the unmanned train wreck called "kill the deal" and are thumbing their noses at the UAE were encouraging Wal-Mart to pull out of Maryland in response to the attack by the state legislature???
