Please clue me to what the rule is? Cuz I don't know of any. And where I might be able to find them. Actually, I've been looking for this info for a while...

There are. Now and then the posting guidelines are posted. I don't have them handy, but someone no doubt does.

The rule is that you're supposed to "ping" any poster you might be referencing in a message to another poster. (This condition is especially popular among FR's Official Sewing Circle, which tends to demand "courtesies" it's rarely willing to extend to others.)
Sometimes, gosh darn it, I just forget to do that. ;)
