BOOK SALES SOS:
CARVILLE/BEGALA BOOK BUST, 'TAKE IT BACK' SELLS 17,734 COPIES SINCE JAN. RELEASE, ACCORDING TO NIELSEN'S BOOKSCAN;
WONKETTE ANA MARIE COX 'DOG DAYS' 5,383 COPIES SOLD...
DAILY KOS 'CRASHING THE GATE' ONLY 253 COPIES PURCHASED, NIELSEN CLAIMS...
Don't these people know that their readers are either unemployable or illiterate?
If you must wallow in schadenfreude, you should try to be at least a little up front about it.
By an astonishing coincidence, "253" also happens to be the aggregate I.Q. of all said book's purchasers, to date. :)
I don't visit the kos website,Why would I buy the book. Opinion of myself and 99.999999% of other internet users.
Liberals read?
Not right now they're not. The first 8 volumes have been out of stock for months. I saw someone hawking a copy of Vol 6 on Amazon a week or two ago for $85.
ayyuh... and how much money will the Kos book, the wonkette's book, plus... oh... any ten other Donk tomes ALL PUT TOGETHER ever be worth?
I guess as fodder for recycled paper, they might be worth a buck or two...
I went to the book-signing for "Crashing The Gate" at Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon last night (Monday the 10th of April)-- it was interesting. From their site: "Crashing The Gate...is a shot across the bow at the political establishment in Washington, DC and a call to re-democratize politics in America."
I was glad to hear them (the two authors) actually say they advocated witholding funds from the Democratic party until it changes to reflect views more to their liking. As far as I'm concerned I wish they would all withold their money from the DNC and spend it on something more useful like maybe a lobotomy, shock treatments or a nasty drug habit.
I think they both said they didn't think the dems will be able to "take over" before 2008-- that's their goal-- not by 2006 like you would think-- and of course when the dems get a majority it means they will have subpoena power (to rousing applause from the lefty audience). An allusion to impeachment.
They also agreed that Hillary will not be the Democratic nominee, that she herself is not corrupt but all the people that surround her are, and of course they both like Howard Dean very much (good news since the longer Dean runs the DNC the better for us!)-- one of them helped organize his internet fund-raising campaign.
There was also a discussion of how the progressives can make inroads on the right's monopoly on the media (right! radio maybe and nothing else!)-- they said some big-money sponsors are about to buy the PAX channel soon (is that spelling right-- I've seen that channel before flipping through the dial before, I think).
correction-- that book signing was Sunday night, the 9th.
Has the Kos book broke 1,000 sales yet?
How's Ann Coulter's book doing? Anybody hear?
