They'll just keep the port terminals and shut them down. Why give them to the competition?

The only thing they really offer us in terms of "trade" is use of military bases and 2 major military refueling stations. Ummmm, I wonder what he means?

It probably means Anti- American rhetoric will most likely increase, with more al-qaida saber rattling in the background.
And of course, with the Iran issue coming to a head, this isn't a good time for this. I don't think we have the luxury of time to allow Iran to make a Saddam-like foray into the UAE to wake them up and bring them back around to rational thought.
