Beijing can manage our ports
After smuggling large arms* of all sorts.
(Not merely Smith-Wessons).
Have we learned any lessons?
No, we punish the Arab "good sports."
*On March 18, 1996, Federal agents surreptitiously seized a Poly shipment of
2,000 AK-47 assault rifles in Oakland, California. These weapons had left China on February 18 aboard a vessel belonging to ... state-owned company, the Chinese Ocean Shipping Company (`COSCO').

(What happened to the 45 day investigation? Which pols are afraid to look at port security and why?)

Rasmussen reported a 19% approval rating for the deal yesterday, and the House Leadership will block it. Case closed Mr. President! It's not a religion of peace so much as a death cult.

From "Network", courtesy of Freeper FBD:
Jensen: You have meddled with the primal forces of nature, Mr. Beale, and I won't have it!! Is that clear?! You think you've merely stopped a business deal. That is not the case. The Arabs have taken billions of dollars out of this country, and now they must put it back! It is ebb and flow, tidal gravity! It is ecological balance!
You are an old man who thinks in terms of nations and peoples. There are no nations. There are no peoples. There are no Russians. There are no Arabs. There are no third worlds. There is no West. There is only one holistic system of systems, one vast and immane, interwoven, interacting, multivariate, multi-national dominion of dollars. Petro-dollars, electro-dollars, multi-dollars, Reichmarks, rins, rubles, pounds, and shekels.
It is the international system of currency which determines the totality of life on this planet. That is the natural order of things today. That is the atomic and subatomic and galactic structure of things today! And YOU have meddled with the primal forces of nature, and YOU WILL ATONE!
Am I getting through to you, Mr. Beale?
You get up on your little twenty-one inch screen and howl about America and democracy. There is no America. There is no democracy. There is only IBM and ITT and AT&T and DuPont, Dow, Union Carbide, and Exxon. Those are the nations of the world today.
What do you think the Russians talk about in their councils of state -- Karl Marx? They get out their linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions, and compute the price-cost probabilities of their transactions and investments, just like we do.
We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies, Mr. Beale. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the immutable bylaws of business. The world is a business, Mr. Beale. It has been since man crawled out of the slime. And our children will live, Mr. Beale, to see that perfect world in which there's no war or famine, oppression or brutality -- one vast and ecumenical holding company, for whom all men will work to serve a common profit, in which all men will hold a share of stock, all necessities provided, all anxieties tranquilized, all boredom amused...."

This is a hornet's nest put together by clinton. He has been paid handsomely for the advice he gave to put this deal together. (His wife knows nothing about this, she says)

Excuse me!
America CAN stand alone in the world if people weren't so motivated by huge profits. America did just fine before the global community mindset took control of our national treasures. American security cannot be based upon a series of sly business deals with questionable proprietaries running the show. This is no longer a Republican/Democrat issue but an American issue and people are finally realizing that they indeed need to be informed about the shady back room deals our government is allowing in the name of keeping the oil flowing.
You can accept the UN and their cronies as your ruling class. But I stand tall as an American and am prepared to fight to the death to protect MY Constitution.
To: Reagan Man
Your faith in our Government is sadly lacking. Is it your opinion that we just open everything up to the public and let the poles decide. What kind of trust you must have in our leaders. This terminal deal was looked at by all of the security departments and nothing was found that could be determent.
Maybe it's time for a few to decide a new Constitution based on everything must have the total population approve before it is done. It's obvious to me no matter which Party is in the White House, Congress, House, and the repective departments cannot make decisions for the good of the Country. Oversite is being done on everything that our Government does. My many years experience tells me too much information or too little in the hands of the population will totally stop this Country from making any kind of progress. I have to place my trust in President Bush and his Administration during his tenure. What I don't trust is all the spin and lies the RATS concoct.
Take the British. We fought a war with them. Shall we not trust them as friends? How about Mexico, remember the Alamo. How about............. hell, who has not been our enemy in our short history. But, somewhere we have to look not in the past but hope for the future. It is hard, but this rhetoric is purely stupid.

Your alleged depression can also come from foreign entity's deciding to cut us off of our goods and services that were once owned by American interests. We have plenty of oil resources in North America. Yet we import from trading partners and not friendly nations. They are in it for the money only. They could care less about America as a whole. The withholding of oil imports from those unfriendly trading partners would cause a big depression.
Ports. Terminals. Airports. Banks. It doesn't matter. If they are foreign controlled or owned the best interest is in the controller and not the location of the asset. This is all about big business making $Billions of dollars profits by selling out America. Lock. Stock. And Barrel.
Foreign control of our assets and resources is bad for national security. Period!

Government is "Of the People, By the People, and For the People.
When government takes an unpopular initiative the people are properly entitled to revolt. It is apparent that our government lacks the listening power to actually comprehend what the people believe is the right course of action. Far too many times government takes a midnight initiative to avoid accountability because it is all about reelection. High finance is not always the sensible option to practicality and long term consequence. HIgh finance is all about the short term gain. So what if a few peasants are sacrificed along the way.
Forgive me if I seem to lack confidence in the judgment of our government leaders. We need look no further than illegal immigration and our (sic) leaders who have no fortitude to drill in Anwr as good reasons why we should mistrust those people in high places. It is obvious they aren't listening to the people, but to the jingle of cash.

>>>>>Your faith in our Government is sadly lacking. Nothing sad about it. I'm a political conservative. By nature, I believe in a limited federal government, a conservative policy agenda and individual freedom. What we have today in WashDC is a bloated bureaucracy, that is out of control.
>>>>Maybe it's time for a few to decide a new Constitution ...
No, we just need to follow the Constitution we have today. The same Constituttion that has governed us since 1787.
>>>>I have to place my trust in President Bush and his Administration during his tenure.
When Bush is right, I support him. When Bush is wrong, I oppose him. That's what living in a constitutional republic is all about. Free speech and political dissent is alive and well in my world of the Founding Fathers.

Any man who invests $300 million to land a job that pays a miniscule fraction of that should not be trusted.
