Easy way around this: Wal-Mart could just fire all of its employees and then hire contract workers or temps from temp agencies that employ 9,999 statewide.

TIM BURCHETT = IDIOT

Buzzwords for "punish success".

Wal Mart needs to play hardball and nip this socialist s**t in the bud!

Just issue a press statement...
The instant that the law is passed every wal mart employee in the state is out of a job...and if the law is then repealed they all go back to work.

Now another lesser company could not do something like that...but wal mart could.

If they make them do that, they should be allowed to reduce the wage to as low an hour as it needs to be to pay for it.

"All we want is for them to pay their fair share. That’s not a lot to ask."

Funny, I don't hear a lot of voices among politicians demanding that illegal aliens pay THEIR fair share of health costs. Idiot.

I thought Walmart had their own HMO type of thing.

If I were them, I would just tell these guys to stick it, and we'll SELL health insurance.

This populism approach is as old as politics.

No matter if the perp is GOP or Dimm, his first duty is to get himself re-elected.

Did you expect anything less? There is all kinds of support for Congress to ban the sale of one foreign company to another, this is the natural progression.

He's got a B-S in Education. Guess it doesn't require any economics courses.

Of course, it probably has a ton of social engineering courses.

Good for him. Walmart is shifting its responsibility (yes responsibility) to the public dole.
