One point of fact guys, The Iranians have been fighting their war against us for years. Have we been fighting back? No. I don't see that we can laugh off their claims so easily.
Our lack of a response to these nimrods goes back to Reagan and every president since.
Going back to the Marine Barracks in Beriut to providing shape charges for IEDs in Iraq, they are killing US personnel and getting away with it. Our intel people have the goods on them. We have not forced them to pay any price for their activities.
Why should they stop?

That is what I suggested in one of yesterdays commentaries. It is such a logical progression to follow. The UIA's back must be broken politically. Dawa and SCIRI in particular must be shown once their UIA sponsored block is broken, they have to participate in processes on a more responsible basis.
I sense Omar's suggestion that Allawi could become deputy PM could become a reality. And Jaffari just may step down to save the Dawa parties face.
On the main topic, surely the Iranians are fully aware, that any sub/surface craft they own that is in the water will go poof if the 5thFleet goes into action. All areas along the coast that contain any form of permenent or sub-mobile Chink/NK rocket launchers will be taken out after they are targeted, any opposition from SAM sites and radar controlled AAA sites, will meet the same fate, as well as any airborn aircraft.
If they do not fully understand this then they really are a bit whacky.

I concur and believe they will do a great deal more damage to us because the President's hands have been tied by political enemies. I don't see preemptive action only a Pearl Harbor like response.

That is just the 6th fleet in the Med. We have the 5th out there somewhere based in Bahrain, and four others also out there somewhere.
I feel bad for the Iranian people as their leaders are encouraging a shit storm that will make the two gulf wars look like a tennis match.

Just heard on the news that Iran has 85 tons of uranium. Stated that this is enough to make 10 nuclear bombs. And that Iran has now stated they will "strike."

How would Iran acheive air superiority in any major conflict? News reports just now state that Iran will use their missiles. They have some new type of advanced missles so this news report says. (I'm listening to WMAL)
