What is amazing is that he must keep this halo device attached to his left leg for about another nine months so that bone growth below his knee can keep progressing before they perform the amputation. Joshua said that he is in a lot of pain each day.

One can only hope their sons and daughters grow up to be as courageous and patriotic as Joshua Sparling.
