If it came down to dealing with Muzzie terrorists, I'd rather have a massive noggin and a loaded SMG than look like Geroge Clooney and be carrying a walkie talkie:-)

Maybe we need a few more big heads over here who waste terrorists first and ask questions later!

Maybe he's a survivor of the Union Carbide chemical spill at Bhopal, a methyl-isocyanate mutant.

Strange - wide angle lens shot at close distance would indeed cause distortion and enlarge the head, but it would also bend the straight lines [in the background architecture] which do not pass through the center of the picture. Are you sure the picture was not photoshopped for the effect?

I can only tell you that I didn’t alter it. That’s a direct link from AFP.

AFP doesn’t usually alter pictures unless it can make America look bad in some way.

No, thats not a particularly big head. Its perspective distortion created by ultra wide angles lenses on SLR cameras when they are focused on nearby subjects. What is near looks much much bigger than what's far. Try to imagine your favorite landscape photograph. A 50mm lens on 35 mm cameras would have almost zero exaggeration, and telephoto lenses have the reverse effect (perspective compression).

Now having said that, he still seems to have a bigger than normal head.

The wide angle shot would cause serious bending of all straight lines not passing through the center of the picture [say, the roof lines on the background architecture] and they are rather straight. I'd think Photoshopping.

And when he runs does he throw it backwards and then whip it forwards to get a momentum kickstart? Kinda like a cobra strike telegraphing his moves? I'll bet it ended all hopes of being a professional running back
