In other years I would see your point, but this year Narnia, and Harry Potter stood out as being at least watchable. Just go to boxofficemojo and look at the movies for 2005 just to get the picture on how lousy they were.
There was not a single movie on the list for best picture this year that I have the slightest interest in even renting, not being the type that will sit through Hollywood preaching liberal garbage at me.
How were Crash or Capote 'liberal garbage'? Whatever their flaws were, they certainly weren't pro forma liberal baiting.
