Rumsfeld: Iranian revolutionary forces are infiltrating Iraq. They will find this to be an error of judgment. Speaking to reporters at the Pentagon, defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld to rejected suggestions Iraq was in civil war, accusing the media of exaggerating the violence. But he acknowledged that the 22 February attack on the Shiite mosque had delayed efforts to form a national unity government.
The ruling Shiite alliance asked President Jabal Talabani to push off opening parliament next Sunday to allow more time to resolve a stalemate over formation of a national unity government. Kurdish and Sunni Muslim politicians refuse to accept Prime Minister Ibrahim Jaafari as its head. Jaafari refuses to stand down.
I find myself doubting that this will happen.
--The only way it's an error in judgment is if the US puts people on the ground to destabilize the Iranian regime.
Simple as pie.
"Simple as pie."
You really think we'll do it?
What ever happened to "either with us or against us?"
Then why aren't we doing something about it?
You of all people!
"Iranian revolutionary forces are infiltrating Iraq."
It's old news that. And we;ve been "incountry" for several years in Iran,Syria, Lebanon and who knows who? The milblogs are full of accounts about this stuff.
And all of them have mercenaries and operatives in Iraq. Those are the prime force and movers in all the terrorist activities and so-called "Civil War" stuff going on now.
What is your purpose in staging this charade? Misinformation?
Usually DEBKA takes a cue from a small bit of evidence in the MSM and expands it imaginatively. This time they are pretty much quoting CNN. Is the regular staff on vacation this week, or are they off infiltrating Iran so as to be on the spot for the de-nuclearization?
"Then why aren't we doing something about it?"
We're bogged down in Iraq. And haven't you noticed, Bush isn't very confident lately?
"What is your purpose in staging this charade? Misinformation?"
Your post makes little sense. It is certainly not an established fact that we have people on the ground in Iran.
You are apparently one of many who attacks every time there is a post of information from Debka.
I haven't seen attacks like this on any other information source. Yet Debka, in my evaluation, is the best source out there. I know they make mistakes, because they take risks, but they have more good information than any other source I know of.
Could it be that yourself, and others are the ones who are staging a charade for the purpose of misinformation?
140,000 to 150,000 troops in Iraq out of a total Force 1.4 Million equals not bogged down. As far as his confidence he still has mine.
