Like you, I find it queer that they would use the word "queer". However, there is much that is queer in our institutes of higher learning, and I mean that in the broadest sense of the word.

How did you discover this, PTD? Have you gone over to the dark side? 8)

LOL! I have not gone over....just doing research! Being Catholic, and from San Francisco this was a natural to catch my eye!!
