My husband might disagree with you. I'm feminine, certainly, but not particularly vulnerable. As a matter of fact, my dad, my grandfather, and my great-grandfather might all disagree with you as well. I come from a long line of tough-as-nails women.
Good for you. All of the women in my family (including Mrs. Wbill) are *very* independent and completely able to think for themselves, thank you very much.
What's nicer, and what never gets any recognition from feminists, or for lack of a better term, anti-feminists, is that all of these independent, tough minded women are also secure enough to admit when they're wrong, or when their husbands are right. Marriage is a 50-50 proposition. A smart wife is such a tremendous asset. Mrs. Wbill is my right arm, and I have absolutely no idea what I'd do without her.
But, I still think that the article is accurate. Children need two parents - Boys to learn how to be a man, and girls to learn what a good man looks like.
