'They may even say you're angry ... wear it as a badge of honor.'
Hil's born to be riled
BY ADAM LISBERG DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Sen. Hillary Clinton embraced her angry side yesterday, saying Republican policies make her so mad that she and her husband sometimes sit around yelling at the TV set.
"I do yell from time to time at my television set," Clinton (D-N.Y.) confessed to a friendly crowd of donors. "Now that Bill and I have TiVo, we just rewind it and yell all over again."
It was her strongest response yet to last month's gibe from the head of the Republican Party that she "seems to have a lot of anger" - an attack that she said was typical against Democratic women running for office.
"They may call you names. They may impugn your patriotism. You know, they may even say you're angry," Clinton told 450 women, most of them black or Latino, at a breakfast at the Sheraton New York that raised almost $100,000 for her Senate campaign.
"If they do that, wear it as a badge of honor, because, you know what, there are lots of things that we should be angry and outraged about in our country today," she said.
After Clinton said on Martin Luther King Day this year that the House of Representatives was run "like a plantation," Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman told a TV talk show that America wouldn't elect an angry candidate.
"I don't think the American people, if you look historically, elect angry candidates," Mehlman said. "When you look at [Clinton's] level of anger, I'm not sure it's what Americans want."

Hide the lamps and ashtrays!
Just counting the days when I too shall join the exodus from this once great State. I have five years left in my escape plan, that gives me time to decide on where to escape to.
" 'I do yell from time to time at my television set,' Clinton (D-N.Y.) confessed to a friendly crowd of donors. 'Now that Bill and I have TiVo, we just rewind it and yell all over again.' "
Meanwhile, proletarians like me are working 2, sometimes 3, jobs to get by in the marvelous society those two helped create.
Thanks Mr and Mrs Clinton, and enjoy your tv shows.
"...there are lots of things that we should be angry and outraged about in our country today,..."
Therein lies the problem...
We have a nation, a world filled with outraged, angry people who lash out instead of engaging others to find answers. Hillary's party is composed of inchoate, nebulous policy directions, dialogue of the most scurrilous kind, and people whose main ideology seems to be one of poking fingers in the majorities' eyes.
While I disagree with just about everything on the right, I find the left completely bankrupt. The did, after all, only start what is occurring in the world.
I wouldn't vote for Hillary if they paid me, or made me a cabinet member. The very thought of Hillary is enough to make me queasy. The arrogance and disdain in her actions and words is not attractive in men. Why this woman thinks it is attractive at all smacks of a personality flaw wide enough to sink this country.
What if they say you're stupid?
There is no question that Hillary is emotionally unstable.
Hard to see how the left will spin that into a selling point.
Come on down to the Missouri Ozarks, Joe. Cost of living, taxes, electricity, gasoline, etc is low. If you enjoy fresh fish, wild turkey, venison, you'll find plenty around here.
It is an honour to detest Hillary Clinton!
Don't worry it's just mad dog hillary pmsing she will try to spin anything to make her look sane.
I am trying to think of what to call someone who takes a criticism of herself and projects it onto the audience.
Hillary is just so cute when she's trying to pretend to be like she imagines the rest of the world is in our day-to-day lives.
She and Bill sitting down to watch television news and capturing Republicans on Tivo to rewind it and watch again. lol
If she actually DID watch television like the rest of us great unwashed masses, she would know that they never broadcast audio or video of Republicans showing any backbone. (Oops, caughtcha, Hill!)
Just auditioning the next decade of Clinton lies that are focused tested and ready to go...
Pinz
Yeah, right.. The farce is with her..
Lake of the Ozarks. The word you're looking for is psychotic.
That's really got to frost her mug, don'tcha think?
Well, maybe they should stop watching Will and Grace.
Naw, she just comes across as a b1tch on wheels.
If they do that, wear it as a badge of honor, because, you know what, there are lots of things that we should be angry and outraged about in our country today," she said.
Yep, just ask Vince Foster, he felt her anger, right???
