I am not sure that it is a federal crime for a sitting senator to leak classified intel, the crime might be when the person receiving the leak makes it public.

It is a federal felony for anyone transmitting classified data to someone who does not posses the adequate level of security clearance AND the need to know. Anyone possessing a security clearance knows it is a crime - did the Senators make an exception for themselves when the law was written? I would doubt it. If Rocky passed classified information to someone not cleared to receive it he has committed a crime - will he be prosecuted? You and I know the answer to that.

I am not expecting any liberal leaking senator to be prosecuted. The prosecution more than likely would "LEAK" more classified data than already leaked, so leaking classified data is like a protected crime.
