ok, how many folks' preferred home defense weapon has 7 or more rounds loaded right now?

guilty

almost no shotguns would, unless you have a USAS-12 or maybe spas-12 (though those have spring issues on the last round). needless to say revolvers are out.

My Remington 1100 will hold 8 in the magazine and one in the pipe, with 7 more on the side saddle. I've seen many 870 pumps and Mossbergs set up the same way.

Revolvers are out?? Give me a break. Not only does S&W make a 7 shot 686 in .357, it's a very popular model.

Personally, I keep a 6 shot King Cobra in the nightstand and my daily carry, a 5 shot snubby, is always close enough to use for a NY reload.

In the overall scheme of things, I suspect that after 2 or 3 of their comrades have fallen, the remainder will be hightailing it out the door.

you are right on the shotguns, i never even considered guns with over 18 1/2" barrels, (never owned one)...re pistols, the vast majority of pistols would not fire 7 shots, i did realize there were individual model exceptions but didn't want to bog my post down with details - most folks will have 6-shot revolvers.
