Well that gem wasn't from my ccw instructor. No, the lady at the Drivers license bureau sharped that tip. She was a California transplant to Misouri and had taken a ccw class somewhere near San Diego.
They're luck they didn't get a "lead rush"
My 12 ga. (a Mossy 835) has only five rounds of 3½" Buck Shot, but the Sig 266 has six 15 round mags, all loaded and is stored with one in the pipe. I wouldn't even have to reload to double tap the whole bunch...
Bring it on, teen wimps.
:-)
Pistols are normally considered to be the autoloaders, such as, 1911's, Glocks, etc, and of course have a capacity greater than 7 shots in most cases.
I'm not positive, but I believe, the vast majority of modern revolvers sold today for self defense are the 5 shot snubbies. Yes, the 7 shot S&W is certainly not the norm.
The point of all this is to avoid the danger of absolutes in our posts.
I just noticed you're from MO. For some reason I thought you were in FL. Never mind about that book then, it applies to FL law only.
prev post should say revolvers and not pistols, owning a number of pistols all of which have >6 round capacity I actually do know that part.
i am guilty of wrongful use of absolutes
You are forgiven.
Go freep and sin no more.
Couldn't anyone come up with seven rounds?
According to the article, it appears that they made an effort to burglarize homes that were unoccupied, and it seems that they were successful in that regard up until the time they were apprehended.
If someone breaks into your home and you are there, you have to assume the worst. My response will be the worst that I can mount. The moral is don't break into someone's home, anything can happen.
I wonder what type of 'Adrenaline Rush' they will get once they are in the showers in prison...tsk tsk tsk....
Hopefully it will leave a lasting 'impression'.
I used to keep an M-2 pintle mounted to the island in my kitchen. The problem was that every time a dozen or so zombies would break in, the fragmentaion and flying bone shrapnel did so much damage to the woodwork that the wife would get pissed off and Id have to remodel the kitchen.
Ive replaced the M-2 with a high pressure water cannon and use it to push the zombies back out of the doorway and then sweep up with a USAS-12.
Its not as sexy or exciting but saves a lot on home repair costs...
