I'm a woman, I've been subjected to it and if you haven't you've lived in a cave. Just think "cheerleaders".

I was "allowed" to be friends with them because I was cute and dressed well and I knew how to draw the guys. I found other friends because I couldn't stand the way they treated others.

I have also been on the other side and as I grew up I matured enough to be ashamed of myself. I think most of it is about competition.
