but illegal aliens holding a "Gold Card" would not be able to adjust their status through naturalization...

Yeah, no doubt about that (sarc). All they would have to do is have a few kids. I can't believe Bush is so incredibly tone deaf on this issue. He's really acting like someone who doesn't care what actual citizens think or want.

Not only tone deaf, but he must think everybody outside the beltway is a drooling idiot.

Yeah, it's pretty incredible!

Really?

Nominating Harriet Miers to the SCOTUS.

Hiring Mike Brown as Fema director.

Campaigning for Arlen Specter's re-election.

Declaring that outsourcing jobs to India is a good idea.

Lobbying for PNTR status for China.

Scott McClellan as press secretary.

Trying to extend Social Security benefits to Mexican nationals.

Heralding the SC decision that institutionalized racial quotas in law school admissions?

Any of this ring a bell?

People with a lot of money don't care what actual citizens think or want; but the Business Wing of the Party cares what their well-heeled audience wants, for sure!

Unlimited, illimitable labor, and a permanently broken labor market and wage rate.

Even Rush Limbaugh sounds like an AF of L shop steward when it comes to unlimited immigration and offshoring.

That's because it's pretty straightforward arithmetic.

"He's really acting like someone who doesn't care what actual citizens think or want."

He's in his last term. I think he's going to do what he thinks is right, and also accomplish a few not so altruistic goals, (e.g. position friends and family to prosper financially).

If anyone doesn't like it, they don't have to vote for him next time. Oh wait....

Just another rich kid that due to his family's wealth, status and power was able to get paid big money for his "investment" in a sports stadium paid for with taxpayer money.

Neil, his brother, has made a mint selling his family connections.

Jeb, the other brother, didn't have the balls to help a woman who was being murdered by her unfaithful husband. He allowed her parents to watch her melt away like a ice cube on a hot Florida day. Watch them run him for president anyway because they know the public is stupid.

Frankly, I'm sick of all these "celebrity" type politicos who are where they are mainly because of their family ties.
