(AP) NAPA A series of levee breaks in southern Sonoma County is flooding acres of farmland along the Sonoma Creek.
The Nationals Weather service says that a levee gave way on the Schell Creek near Schellville failed
causing minor flash flooding of immediately surrounding areas. According to reports, about 100 acres of farmland are flooded.
The are a couple of farm buildings partially underwater, but there do not appear to be any houses or residential buildings affected.
However, people near the town of Schellville along Highways 12 and 121 should be alert for rapidly rising waters and follow evacuation orders of local fire and police officials.
The National Weather Service has canceled flood warnings for the Napa and Russian Rivers.
The Russian River at Healdsburg had been a spot of concern yesterday, but water levels there rose slower than expected.

Prayers for all of those effected.
Levee break? It's gotta be George Bush's fault.
Arnold was on TV a week or so ago and one of the things he talked about was how the California levees were in even worse shape than those around New Orleans...
I thought Cheney's levee bombs were only to used against black people. Did something change? Are there poor black people in this target area?
Here is a thread about that...

How long before a Congressional hearing is demanded?
Black people no. Lesbians? yes. Does that qualify?
Has the AP put out a lying story yet about Bush having known ahead of time? By the way, I notice MTV is STILL running that lying story.
Weekend escape area for Bay Area libs.
Is that a bomb crater in the middle of the breach in the top picture?
His assistant couldn't understand Arnold's accent and thought that he wanted a levee "Bombed" not a levee "Bond".
A levee break in Sonoma? George Bush doesn't care about Merlot people!
AP Reporter on sceen, "Breach or Topped? Maybe I should call Gov. Blanco?"
Yeah. I bet the Chardonnay vineyards survived.
Mexicans, maybe?
They shouldn't allow people to build below the water level. No tax money for rebuilding. Leave the area like it is.
Did I get all the key points from the New Orleans threads?
ARNOLD SCHWARZZENEGGAR[sp?] HATES BLACK PEOPLE
OK, dumb joke.
