"US should be more active in encouraging democracy and free speech in more repressive parts of the world (like China)"
Is that why you are against Taiwanese independence?

1/2 of the Taiwan people are AGAINST Taiwan independence, you seem to forget that.
As far as gbeing Pro-Indian - no, you're just like those Indians with huge inferiority complex that anyone who criticizes India, or who makes the obvious case of what's going on in the country, you'd automatically bash them. That's who you are.

Independence and democracy are two different things. Taiwan is a democracy RIGHT NOW. Taiwan is the first democratic Chinese state in the history of Chinese civilization. I come from a freedom-loving KMT family. No, I do not want Taiwanese independence because I don't believe the Chinese Civil War has ended, the Chinese in Taiwan have a responsibility to bringing their freedom and democracy back into the Mainland. At least 50% of Taiwanese agree with me. No sir, that doesn't make me a Communist; far far from it. I am a freedom fighter, not a runner.
