Jerusalem, March 6: Against the backdrop of the recent Indo-US nuclear deal, the Israeli defence industry has expressed concern that the United States' tightening security ties with India will adversely affect their prospects in one of their key markets.
"The Americans understood Israel is taking a huge market away from them. It took them time to respond, but they eventually did," a source at Israel's defence industries told local daily 'Yediot Ahronoth'.
"From now on it will be much harder to carry out arms deals in India," the source added. "The US plans on turning India into one of its arms industries' main export markets following the recent nuclear deal between the two countries during President Bush's visit to India," the report said.
India had emerged as the single largest purchaser of Israeli defence systems capping the Phalcon deal worth $1 billion.
I do agree with you that Taiwan shold not declare independence and keep the status quo. But I do disagree with you on Taiwanese resolve against military action from the mainland. If for whatever reason, Chen declares independence and CCP attacks, i think Taiwan will fall VERY quickly. It has not had any type of war in the last 40 years. China doesn't have to invade to get Taiwan back on the negotiation table -- those 700 missiles aimed at Tsinchu industrial park would be enough.
LMAO.....your post 101 indicates who your masters are. Your personal attacks on all ChiCom threads indicate the extent of your intellect (pretty minimal or non-existent)....LOL
"They only reassumed AFTER the nuclear deal with India between India and US."
Do you have a link for this or is it just more ChiCom propoganda? BTW, you didn't answer my previosu question? Are you a PRC "military attache" of some kind?
GK/monkeywrench: take a look at the web this guy weaves.
There will be guerilla warfare for a long long time, possibly supported by the Americans or Japanese. Taiwan is mountainous. The KMT will probably put out a token fight, but some members of DPP will surely go underground. But I think it's a risk neither Taiwan nor Mainland is willing to take now. Status quo is good, Chen should provoke less (I don't understand why he's doing the provocations, everytime he provokes, he loses more electoral support from Taiwanese). Maybe he feels DPP cannot win the next presidential election.
We are hijacking the thread, indcons won't like that. He wants to continue China and Israel-bashing us. ;)
Russians are also in this game.
I know you have been here for only 3 days so here are some FR courtesies that you need to learn. When you mention or bash somebody on the forum, you have an obligation to ping that person. Please learn these common courtesies before you spew your propoganda. I hope it is not too much to ask of you.
More Sabra or more American?
LOL....I think the posts speak for themselves.
He's a chicom apologist. All propaganda all the time. He fools no one. :)
Thanks for telling me. ;) Newbie mistake.
But you got to avoid thinking anyone who goes against your ideas as "propaganda," that doesn't start the discussion on the right footing, especially when we in heart agree on a lot of important issues.
She isn't china bashing. It's chicom bashing. If you aren't a chicom or apologist for their govt., it doesn't include you.
Have you been reading my posts? They are completely against Chinese Communism. Every single one of them.
Are the Chinese all Chicoms just because they are ethnically Chinese?
Are the Indians all freedom fighting conservatives just because they are ethnically Indian and not muslim?
The facts of reality speak otherwise. There are millions of freedom-loving Chinese who crave for greater freedoms of expression and religion, and if one so chooses to look, one can easily find them in the internet, in blogs and forums. They may speak against their government, but do they have to also speak against the ENTIRE people in order to be not "propagating"? No.
I don't support the Chinese Communists, but I am unwilling to paint the Chinese with a single brush just to demonize the Chicoms. That's not apologizing for the government, that's seeing things the way it is, and being more informed rather than opinionated. This gives us more strategy for countering the Chinese Communist government.
Hey lets not try to pull all eyewash about Chicom benevolence cuz thats all propaganda stuff.
Except she is accusing me of being Chicom for showing the slightest nuance toward my stance (such as my stance on Taiwanese independence), and that's a pretty offensive and grave accusation.
When we speak of chicoms, we mean the govt. of china. Not all chinese. They set the policies and make the remarks for international consumption. How hard is that to understand?
Bttt!
You forgot the FR rules again, ckwillaims.
I disagree with both you and pgnini on Taiwan. We will support Taiwan. Japan probably will, too. There's a reason this President has been building a coalition of the willing. (South Korea, Japan, Austrailia, India) The chicom thugocracy is a threat to all of them.
You still haven't answered my question -- why is India still making deals with Iran?
There is no telling what the Iranians want in return to sell India oil. And India will do just about anything to get oil from Iran and India will not want to be left out when China is courting them.
The fact is, India deals with the islamic world as much as China does. And it's been doing this double-face business for quite some time -- pretending to be for the US but in reality, they're in it for themselves.
