What the heck... the only movie you listed that was actually British is the Chronic(les) of Narnia.

The Lord of the Rings was absolutely British. Peter Jackson, filmed most of it in New Zealand and cut the track in England before it was released.

War of the Worlds I'm not sure about but I did not imply it was British.
