I sure hope you can survive the next 7 months without committing suicide. A month ago, Bush was riding on top the wave. Now he's going to be swamped by it. Next month will be different. Lighten up! These guys have won 3 major elections in a row. Until they lose, there's no reason to believe the streak won't continue. That's why you have a job and it isn't politics.

Swing voters can't be trusted. They're gutless. They're not to be trusted at this point in time, and are usually followers of the largest herd of voters on election night.

Swing voters are no better than undecideds.

I think the GOP will retain the House by a very narrow margin that will make it hard to pass legislation, and might even raise the possibility of a "compromise" so-called moderate Rat as Speaker. Call it 220-215, down from 232 I believe. Not a disaster, but not a good result for us. And I think there's a real possibility of losing more.

I believe you're wrong. The Democrats are in more disarray than they lead everyone to believe, and you're giving them too much credit they don't deserve. Cutting the margin down to five seats is not only a monumental feat, but impossible, because you haven't even begun to factor in who their opponents will be.

You need to stop drinking from the same punch bowl as Kristol. Both of you have gone absolutely batty if you believe the Democrats will control both houses of Congress come November.

My prediction is that the GOP will control both houses by diminished margins, and may win the House.

The Dems may be "in disarray," but a party in disarray can still win. Even less do they need to have "ideas," as some would insist. Voters aren't that smart or that idealistic.

I meant "may lose the House."

Getting too late tonight ...

Democrats suffered losses in the last 2 cycles because they were short on ideas, and long on hate. Hate will only carry so far in the red states, and largely turns voters off. If that trend keeps up, and they foster such doom and gloom scenarios, they may end up suffering even greater losses come November.

Voters aren't that smart or that idealistic.

I generally have greater faith in the American voter, because they know how things are around them in the immediate vicinity, and they know what they want and expect from their elected representatives in Congress. To immediately discount them as stupid or uninformed, is wrong.

Does the Scarecrow turn towards the target, or does it only spray in a set direction? A friend's parents have deer eating their roses and vegetable garden, but the deer don't come around during hunting season. (I guess they ain't stupid).

Another reason the Rats suffered losses in '02 and '04 is that the Republicans were fired up. That seems not to be the case this year. I'm fired up about beating them, but that doesn't mean the attitude is sufficiently widespread among our base -- or will be communicated to the base by the "leadership." There is a great deal of evidence that we have serious problems both among our base and among our leaders.

The Rats' obvious hatred and lack of ideas has limited their appeal. But against a wet-noodle GOP, it is not such a disadvantage as it was in previous elections. When voters want to punish the party "in power," they'll do it without looking too hard at the Rats' hatred and lack of ideas. While Republicans probably need ideas in order to oust the Rats from power, and probably can't show a lot of hatred, with the MSM in the Rats' corner, as we know all too well it is, it doesn't necessarily work the other way.

HA! You flatter yourself.

I have better things to do than follow or look for you. I do know that when the rest of your pack is out tearing into posters that you aren't far behind.

I do my best to ignore you but sometimes you need to be called to account because of your tactics.

Enjoyed the rant. If the Democrats run Hillary, which seems likely, I sincerely doubt they have a chance of winning.

"Its right around this time when Republicans and Conservative start heading for the hills during an election year, sure as hell that our agenda and mission are doomed, doomed, doomed."

If its doomed, its because of the gutless Republican whimps in COngress, especially the craven RINO cowards in the Senate. NOT because of Dems.

If the Repubs win big in November its only because the Dems haven't shaken loose from their anti-American, anti-Christian, pro-bolshevik agenda.

Bush is vulnerable on the borders and on his view toward Islam and on his guest worker program. Unfortunately for America, the Dems are even further to the left on these subjects then Bush is.

I hope and pray this is the last Bush to ever hold Presidential Office.

The Scarecrow swivels like a regular high-power sprinkler. It usually hits whatever animal triggers its motion sensor, but the main point is to scare the hell out of the animal so it doesn't return.
