Sports have become tawdry and dull since the introduction of "Professionalism" and "Sponsors". Want proof? Just watch the Rugby or the Cricket. Or, for that matter, Ice Hockey (my passion).
Olympics? Shyeah, right, mate. Used to mean something to somebody. I care not a fig.
Woke up bright and early here in Chicago to watch 6 nations and see the Boys in Green take Taffy to the woodshed last Sunday. I was impressed how much energy and enthusiasm the fans had... along with the lack of commercials and time outs to run commercials throughout the game. It's nice to see two 40 minute halves played in 82 minutes and the two extra minutes were for injury time.
