Arson, rape, massacres ... and the strange silence of the archbishop

Like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-tung, Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein and Slobodan Milosevic, the Islamists of Sudan claim monstrous liars are libelling them. 'You are terrorists,' Abdel Rahim Mohammed Hussein, the regime's defence minister, screamed at journalists in Khartoum on Thursday. 'Any foreign correspondent from any foreign agency, get out - we don't want you in here.' His goons duly expelled reporters from his press conference for inventing the incredible lie that Hussein and his friends were responsible for the murder of around 200,000 in Darfur, the ethnic cleansing of two million, the arson, the rapes ... well, you know the story.

The Western Left (note tagline) is decadent. This includes Leftist politicians, Hollywood, academia, the so-called "journalists" of the "Mainstream Newsmedia", and, sadly for Anglicans, including me, the Anglican hierarchy.

This decadence is a paradigm into which these people are locked. They cannot think outside it. Sadly, they cannot think freely, independently, or liberally, and they are frighteningly susceptible to hubris and denial.

The paradigm includes consensus, faulty logic, inconsistent logic, an unwillingness to face truth, and the mindset that certain groups of people are victims and others predators; the assignment of people to these groups is arbitrary and illogical, but it serves an agenda and, once established, is part of the groupthink of the paradigm.

According to the paradigm: Israel is evil and has no right to exist. Homosexuality and all forms of sexual promiscuity are normal and healthy. Christianity is either totally or mostly false and foolish and should be ridiculed. Fashion, including trendy, fashionable notions, is very important. Islam is a race, and to criticize it is racism. Muslims are victims and must not be criticized for anything in any way. Anyone who rejects the Leftist paradigm is ignorant, stupid, or both.

Of course these are merely a few assumptions of the Leftist paradigm, but they are universally accepted as axioms by Leftists.
