I like how you read only what you want to read... How about the FACT they are in NATO, and will probably join the UE a some point? Not to mention they have had democracy even after periods of military coups.
Since Turkey is a member of the UN, NATO and the European Community, they're population of 99.8% Sunni Muslim makes them immune to organized acts of terrorism? Wow. If we don't fight Islamic terrorism throughout the world and have as our major objective, to kill "jihadists" and "islamofasits" wherever we find them, inside or outside the borders of the ME, the WOT will be lost. You want America to be friends with the Islamic world. That ain't gonna happen. Not now and not in the near future. Right now the Islamic world is stuck in the 7Th-9TH centuries AD. Come back in 300-400 years. You may find the Islamic world has finally caught up with the 21st century world. Then again, maybe not.
