Argentina, once a rival to the United States in economic power and attractiveness to immigrants from Europe has been on a steady decline for years. Buenos Aires is a testament to the greatness that once was Argentina. Cuba once was wealthier than Italy and Austria. When crackpot leaders begin to show their muscle, the best and brightest leave the country for greener pastures. Venezuela's loss can hopefully be other countries' gain. Time will tell.
