I don't want ex-Presidents working for foreign countries. It's tacky - for starters.

I watched a History Channel documentary about ancient Rome this week, wherein they covered the fact that the Romans were appalled that sitting emperor Nero would perform at the theater - an unprecedented act of ignobility.

I was immediately reminded of Clinton playing saxophone on the Jay Leno show.

Excellent comparison. I saw that same History Channel documentary. I wish I had thought up your analogy.

Jimmy Carter walking rather than riding down Pennsylvania Avenue after his inauguration, the first to jog publicly in shorts (followed by Clinton and Gore) and run in a marathon (Where the wall got him before the rabid rabbit attack), and selling the Presidential yacht, in his attempt to lesson the respect for the office.
