Vaduz: What can Bush do?
wolfcreek: What difference do any of you think it would make? (having a new president)
Gentlemen, please! The position we are discussing is the Presidency of the United States of America, far and away the most powerful position on earth. What could he do? In short, everything. This man gives State of the Union speeches saying he wants to legalize an ongoing crime to which he is a party!
Since I have just graduated to a post-Bush awareness, I am free to say that this man is guilty of every rape, stabbing, shooting, murder-by-drunk-driver, and every other crime that he made happen due to his inaction on this all-important issue. Had he strongly demanded enforcement now regarding illegals, he would have gotten it. Had he funded all border patrol positions already allocated, he would have gotten them. He can enforce standards at will, and yet he has very specifically chosen to support the foreigners over Americans.
I know there are BushBot fanatics around, and I don't care. I won't play this game anymore. This man in this position could have ended this problem yesterday. He chose not to. He is guilty of betraying us, and the oath he swore upon accepting this office, which, to me, is a very severe matter.

Well said Starbase. The President's failure on immigration will have a huge effect on Republicans, and conservatives in general, in the future. I have been "post-Bush" for the past year or so, and until I see the congress make significant changes, I will NOT be voting for a Republican.
