Well...I had no idea you were 49, but I don't believe age has anything to do with musical interests.
I like oldies, big band, country, a little rap (very little), lots of older rock and roll, and Gospel. I'm sure there are some I left out, but my point is my musical tastes are quite diverse.
My slide show for my DIL work great...I just made a small one using "Arms Wide Open" by Creed for the music and downloaded it on a DVD for her...tears all around,(even me),she was amazed...I had fun.
