MSNBC is #3 because there isn't a fourth and fifth cable news station.

True.
That is why I used 'overtopped' in parentheses.
I did not see 'overrun' which is also the wrong word in the Friday night dump correction.

I'm starting to think there are a lot of little egomaniacs in the AP who don't want to be just journalists and writers, but instead they want to be kingmakers and big-time political players. They want to write the stories that they think will decide presidential elections and determine who will be in the White House and who will control congress. MSM journalists are out of control now and have turned "mainstream journalism" into this incredibly political business where everything except the sports news is written with a political bias.
I see this political bias (among other factors) causing a rapid fragementation of the news media into a wide spectrum of media outlets on TV, radio, print, and the internet covering the entire political spectrum. The four big liberal networks (CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN) will continue to decline and lose viewers are they become left-wing media along with the NY Times and Wash Post. Center-left news media will evolve, along with an attempt at unbiased centrist media, and then you'll have center-right news media with Fox News and voices like Hugh Hewitt and Michal Medved. New cable channels, radio shows like Rush Limbaugh, and numerous websites will broadcast to people who are staunch conservatives. The liberal networks and the AP don't understand it yet, but their market has already fragmented and they've already lost half of their audience with another 25% about to be lost in the next ten years. I'm ready for more professionally written conservative websites right now....anything but the AP and its obvious left-wing slant.

It usually takes longer with liberals. It works a little better for me if I talk real slow and use very small words. Most importantly don't give too much information at one time, it takes them longer to absorb it. Just go real slow and keep up the good work.

Obviously they did this to embarrass the president, whether careless or deliberate misinformation.

The AP has its own agenda, and it's called Bush-bashing.

Olbermann's a moron, but he works hard at it. He wants the 20% of the American public who might charitably be called moonbats.
To: pissant
I'm not saying Bush himself has to say it, but someone, maybe even the WH press secretary should make a huge fuss about this. This is one of my biggest pet peeves about this administration--they spend too much time trying to be nice. Sometimes they just need to 'throw down' and take on these weenies.

Of course they wait until Friday night to issue a lame 'correction' which will never ever receive the same attention as the original fraudulent story. Of course the MSM continues to practice the "fake but accurate" form of fraudulent 'journalism'........

A correction of a drive by shooting. Wonder if the MSM will do the same on the Sunday shows.
To: new yorker 77
Seriously, if you rely on the MSM for your facts, you are now officially a moron, or a Democrat. Or both.

Obviously they did this to embarrass the president, whether careless or deliberate misinformation. The MSM does not practice in writing bias articles anymore they now commit journalistic fraud.
