Boiler Room was an awesome flick! My 2-cents:

* I like the fact that they pay homage to Wall Street in the movie.

* I thought Vin Diesel was solid in his role. What happened since is anyone's guess.

* All in all, great casting (especially Giovanni Ribisi and Nicky Katt) but I could have done without seeing Bennifer's face.

So, back on topic, this story is yet another example of the "drive-by" MSM doing what they do best. B@stards! The lot of 'em!

Boiler Room was despicable in that it was so close to the truth; albeit in a simplistic way. It was a tad sophomoric, as relates to the actual goings on, as close to accurate as anything likely to come out of Hollywood or NYC.

On September 1, 2006, President Bush himself used the word "breach," which further complicated the story for the White House. In a TV interview, the president said, "I don't think anybody anticipated the breach of the levees." One reason why I used the word "breach" is because the veracity of the president's statement has been at the center of the post-Katrina analysis and government review.

[This is an excerpt from an email from an AP reporter which is copied in full in post to which I am responding.]

Sometimes liberals accidentally say precisely what they mean. What the reporter is saying is: Since the President used the word "breach", and the veracity of the President was central to the purpose of this story, then the only way I could infer that the President is a liar is to also use the word "breach".
