Ironically, a system like ours, where all aspects of government are checking (even fighting with) each other has the best chance of success. Even divisions between political philosophy, Republican vs Democrat, etc are beneficial as long as the participants are civilized.

Do I trust Republicans without question? -- no. Never! Republicans are simply the lesser of the evils. And I am thankful for the Democrats however silly and frustrating they may be to me. Because, Democrats keep the Republicans honest and visa versa.
