Wrong. Lincoln loaned Judd $3,000 @ 10% interest. Lincoln received a quitclaim deed to the property - meaning it was his. The is no record of Judd repaying the $3000.

And there is no evidence that Lincoln profited from the transaction. Just your rather vivid imagination.

So your assertion is that Lincoln was dumber than a rock, that he paid $3,000 for 17 lots totaling 160 acres so that he could make LOSE money on them. And that he placed the terminus of the railroad just 2 blocks from the aforesaid land owned by himself, knowing that said property values would increase DECREASE in value by thousands of percent?

Bwahahahahahaha!
