A group of Moslem males have tried to get at the daughter of one of the 12 cartoonists who drew the cartoons of Muhammed at her school. The political spokesman of the Liberals, Jens Rohde, revealed this during an interview with TV-Avisen while explaining his and the Prime Minister’s attack on the business community in Denmark, charging that they have put profits over Freedom of Speech.

Rohde says that the 12 cartoonists have had their lives overturned and are now living in hiding, after receiving several death threats.

"And a daughter of one of cartoonist was sought out by 12 Moslem males - they were looking to get to her. Fortunately she wasn’t at school," Jens Rohde said.

The cartoonists are welcome to move to the US.

Are you sure? It's a great idea but we've been filling up our quota with refugees who have never seen a refrigerator and don't know what indoor plumbing is.

I can't tell from the article. In fact, the article is poorly written and it is unclear what happened. I don't think we can draw any reasonable conclusions from it.

I don't think I posted anything about "real Danes". If I did I don't remember it. I'll go back and look.

I think it would be a great idea to provide sanctuary for the cartoonists - assuming they would want to come here. I'm not sure they'd be safer here but they would be welcome as far as I am concerned.

We have been taking in lots of refugees, some of whom come from very primitive living conditions. I think it was a group who moved to Maine and they had never seen a refigerator or a toilet. They were moved to Maine in the middle of the winter from some tropical country and had to be taught how to turn light switches on and off.

Bottom line: Yes, I think the cartoonists would be welcomed.

The Constitution is a contract.

If you want to change it the mechanism is called an Amendment.

Yes, I know. I detest the liberal judiciary that has made such a mess of our Constitution.

My point was simply that, these days, it's not all that difficult to develop a construction that serves a particular political purpose. In the case of the First Amendment, yesterday that tortured construction was CFR, partially upheld by the SCOTUS to the great glee of the Left; tomorrow, it could just as well be a construction that allows us to shut down Islam in the United States, something that most conservatives would welcome with open arms.

We're well down that slippery slope that began with the first liberal push. That it now works both ways should be of little comfort to true conservatives.
