It became the news because some humorless dunderhead gave Drudge a tip and Drudge ran with it.
He still, acted totally unprofessional for a journalist covering the president, especially since this was an overseas trip. I don't know if he was drunk or Stoned and never said he was just think he was acting unprofessional. Report the news, if we want comedy we have plenty of horrible liberal comics in the US already.
