The dude is a moron, he is there to report the news and he made the #1 mistake for a journalist he became the news. Very unprofessional of him.
He wont be handed a cup .. i think they encourage heavy drug use for their reporters.

I think it will come down to having an image to go with the story. What we have is a radio interview...what we need are some photo shop experts to keep it on everyones desktop

You really think his colleagues are going to do anything but sweep it under the rug?
They have to stick together, ya know.

I just phoned this NBC number and asked if David Gregory would be drug tested when he returns from India: (201) 583-5000. The number didn't go to a switchboard, but went directly to some guy in the news dept. He asked if I was serious in my question and I said that I was, since it was obvious that Mr. Gregory was under the influence of something when he spoke with Don Imus yesterday.

I wonder if David Gregory has any idea that we know he was high? And in the morning to boot! I would think that if he was, the powers that be would punish him. Ethics are ethics and they should apply to everyone top to bottom!

Interesting. You started this thread five minutes after I told you I thought you were drinking the kool aid.
Have some doubts?
You are just making it worse by perpetuating this non-story.

President Bush should make the White House Press Corp submit to mandatory drug tests.

It's a running joke on Imus to be accusing guests that call in of being drunk.
What was interesting in this case was how they couldn't get him off the air fast enough. It was very obvious they were trying to protect him.

Bill O'Riley defended Gregory on his program last night saying he was probably just tired. I only watched O'Riley to hear what he was saying about the situation. I had no idea he was going to defend DG.

If Gregory even qualifies as a reporter, WHY are reporters interviewed nowadays as if their opinions matter??? Gregory is at best a dolt, and I'm supposed to care what he thinks about world events because he asks (usually rude) questions at news conferences?
