Our seventh grader was listening to the recording of this nutso teacher, and she said, "Sounds just like . . . and . . . . They say stuff every day like that." Hubby says it is illegal for students in our school system to record teachers without permission of the school. I'm not sure though.

I believe that you need the permission of the teacher...intellectual property, I think.

It's always been something you need the instructor's permission to do. They claim intellectual property, but since they are being paid by the taxpayers to teach, shouldn't their course material be the property of the school district? This is not a private college or university it's a high school.
